TL;DR

  • I’ve been back in the US for two weeks - a week watching the US Disc Golf Championship in Charlotte and a week in Denver for a Trailmix Wealth retreat.

  • How much did I spend on my Summer in Europe? Guess over/under $10K and check your answer below.

  • In classic go-with-the-flow fashion, I still haven’t started planning my November or December trips, lol.

Documenting my journey

Fun summer montage reel

  • This is one of my favorite reels I’ve made all year and it captures the feelings of my fantastic summer so well.

  • Solo travel rocks. Traveling with friends and family feels like the point of life.

MISOGIS

Do you have a misogi?

We talked about this at our Trailmix Wealth retreat and it was fun to hear the goals that the rest of our team had.

For me, I had a hard time finishing my 90-mile bike ride in Japan across seven islands (the Shimanami Kaido). That was a worthy goal for this year, as was my 100-mile night ride in the 24 Hours of Booty event in Charlotte.

For next year, I want to backpack Patagonia (that would be coming up soon), or the Tour du Mont Blanc in France (that would be next Summer).

If you have a misogi for 2026 or 2027 and I can cheer you on, or if you have any interest in joining my backpacking trips, let me know!

BUSINESS PULSE

  • We’re building six new websites for a private equity firm’s entire portfolio. Here’s their original site and portfolio, so you can see the improvements once these new sites are optimized with new designs, plus hundreds of SEO/AEO/GEO improvements!

  • It feels great to hit a record month in our ads agency. Great work compounds, and we’re absolutely crushing for lots of our clients right now. Looking forward to Black Friday and Cyber Monday and smashing it for our e-commerce brands in particular there.

  • We had a great time in Boulder, CO and Rocky Mountain National Park with the whole team! Thanks to Michael for providing the vision and bringing everyone together.

Good looking team right there!

  • The alternative investments space is exploding as more retail investors get access to private market investments. We are uniquely positioned to bring approachable education and deals to investors looking to get into the space and accelerate their journey to financial freedom.

  • We even had a group hike with followers and community members, and had a member sign up during the event - that’s how good the insights in the group really are.

FINANCES

Money and Investing Updates

  • $10,267. That’s the cost of my two-month trip to Europe this summer. Some days I balled-out, and some days I balled-on-a-budget. All days were fun.

    • About 30% of that was transportation, 30% food, 25% lodging, and 15% activities and shopping.

  • Here’s a chart showing where each country came in! This is about what I expected. And some places (Spain, UK) are cheaper due to staying with family/friends.

WHAT I’M LEARNING

  • Alternative investing strategies and advice - I’ve gotten a lot of great stuff recently out of the Cash Flow Ranger community, especially from our Sherpa calls.

WHAT I’M CONSUMING

YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING - the film of the year

  • If you haven’t made plans to see this film yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. It was absolutely mind-bending.

    • If you’ve seen it, reply and let me know what you thought!

A spoiler-free scene that defines the whole movie for me

WHAT’S NEXT?

  • I’m locking in this week to finish these six websites (well, draft one), and then looking to plan my next international trip!

Adventure is out there!

SUPPORT

From time to time, I may enlist the help of sponsors to help me afford to continue writing this newsletter. And it’s pretty cool to get paid to share my story!

You can check them out below, and find other (totally free) ways to support me via affiliate links here. Cheers!

Your follow-ups are only as good as your meeting notes

When the notes get a client's name wrong or a number off by a zero, the follow-up goes out wrong too. Or someone hand-fixes it first. Mostly right is still wrong.

Wispr Flow Notetaker uses your dictionary and calendar, so names, numbers, product names, and acronyms come out spelled right. It pops up when your meeting starts and captures Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, and Slack huddles with one click, no bot joining the call.

Weeks later, ask one question across every meeting you've had and get the answer with citations. Try Notetaker free on Windows and Mac.

Not financial advice. Just a guy sharing his journey. Thanks for being here!
