TL;DR
We raised over $1.6 million at the 24 Hours of Booty biking event in Charlotte! I am also proud to say I beat my goal of cycling 100 miles on the first day of the event.
Mitten Ventures is booming and I’ve taken on a lot of great projects this month.
I booked my flight for the next few months in Europe… time to start booking the rest of the trip!
CURRENTLY
Documenting my journey
Feels good to be proud of myself - what a week! Onto the next.
FINANCES
Money and Investing Updates
3x. That’s the rough cost difference between the Nordics and the Balkans in Europe, both of which I’ll be visiting next month. I’ve never been to either, and I’m pumped for some new scenery!
$1500. The amount I (almost) saved on a flight to Australia for November a few days ago - but when I went to transfer the points for the Delta deal, the deal had expired. I gotta be quicker than that next time…. oops.
BUSINESS PULSE
Mitten Ventures (my AI consulting and implementation studio) is off to a great start!
Month one: $1K of revenue
Month two: $3K of revenue
This month: on track for $23K of revenue
I’m excited to continue working on awesome projects with awesome people. The majority of the projects this month are custom websites for other businesses / portfolios.
This month, we brought on a fantastic new ads client, Franzy. They are building “the Zillow of franchising”, and I’ve known their CLT team for over a year now. It’s so fun to help such a fantastic startup grow.
Franzy also fits in super well with my interest in business acquisition and The Charlotte ETA Group. Lots of overlap here.
Congrats to Michael and our team on an amazing launch of the new website, free course, and community. We’ve had over 11,000 new visitors to the website, and over 60 new paid members join the community!
This is going to be huge for the world of personal finance and investing education, and I’m so lucky to be involved so early!

Final version of the map turned out so sick
WHAT I’M LEARNING
AI Dependency
I’m actually writing this newsletter now since Claude Code just went down. AKA - I have to pause my website development for a few minutes. It’s a good excuse to write this newsletter, since not a single word of Build in Motion relies on AI.
WHAT I’M CONSUMING
New Music from Eli Wheeler
Eli is one of the most talented musicians I’ve ever met, and I’m more excited than anyone that he has a new song out. He was also a great roommate in college. You can stream “Long Shot” here! You won’t regret it.
DESK OF THE WEEK
📍 Google Office in Atlanta

Okay, this is actually from two weeks ago, but I got to visit Michael and Amy and their new baby in Atlanta and it was amazinggggg!
24 HOURS OF BOOTY STATS
Cycling analytics for ya

Strava stats are always fun
I had to beat the 90-mile ride I did in Japan in June… and this time, I did it on my even slower mountain bike! Might be time for a road bike next year.
WHAT’S NEXT?
I’ve got one more week in NC before heading to Europe - best believe it’ll include lots of family time, disc golf, and pickleball.
Here’s the current Europe itinerary - let me know if you’ll be in any of these places!

Adventure is out there!
