TL;DR

  • My week in Elon, Charlotte, and Cary was a real treat. Lots of productivity, disc golf, and time with friends and family.

  • I’ve got more international trips on the horizon, but it’s always nice to spend time with people I love around NC.

  • In two months I’m riding in a 24-hour charity bike event in Charlotte - more details below!

24 HOURS OF BOOTY

  • This July I’m riding in 24 Hours of Booty, which takes place at the Myers Park "Booty Loop" for a full 24 hours. Technically it’s not a race or endurance event, but I’ll be biking as many miles as I can. Everyday on this earth is a blessing and it’s good for me to do hard things.

My day one stats from 2025 (5 hours of riding and 5 hours of breaks and snacks and events til 3am)

  • For some history, the event has raised more than $31 million since 2002 for cancer navigation and survivorship programs, including Atrium Health's Levine Cancer Institute, Levine Children's Hospital, and Queens University of Charlotte.

    • This year marks the 25th anniversary, running from 7 PM on Friday to 7 PM on Saturday - July 24 and 25.

Best part of the ride is being able to eat near infinite calories and snacks during!

  • My friend Curt invited me to ride with his team again this year, Team Nini + CB. We’re riding in honor of his aunt Nini and our friend Catherine, two amazing women.

  • Last year I knocked out 120 miles in 24 hours, and I’d love to beat that this year. More importantly, I’d love to raise over $1,000 for cancer patients and their families along the way.

  • I did those 120 miles on my mountain bike btw, I think I rode the furthest of anyone not on a proper road bike last year…

    • Anyways, I didn’t really ask for donations last year, but after the event lots of folks told me they would have loved to donated to support, so I’m including steps to donate below. Even if you don’t donate, thank you for reading along!

      • And if you’re in Charlotte, you should ride with us - shoot me a text to join 👀

My day two stats from 2025, and a view of the loop which I completed 40 times

  • If you'd like to help me hit that goal, here is a link to my donation page - and please check if your company has a corporate match:

    • A lot of companies will double or even triple your donation at no extra cost to you. It's the easiest way to turn $50 into $100 or $150 for families navigating a cancer diagnosis.

DESK OF THE WEEK

📍 Bank of America Corporate Center

I got to see my former BofA team while in Charlotte! It’s now been a full year since I left to travel - pretty wild! I miss these folks dearly - they rock.

WHAT’S NEXT?

  • Looking at Asia, Europe, the UK, and Australia as options for the summer. Excited to travel abroad again soon.

    • Top of the current list is Japan, stay tuned…

Adventure is out there!
